| About This is the home on the web for the Fatboylan LAN party series. A LAN party is for anyone who enjoys playing multiplayer computer games. If you play on the internet, but have never before experienced a LAN party then this is THE site for you. Basically, a LAN party is made up of a group of people who all bring their computers to one location to form one network where they can play games on an ultra fast connection and socialise with other like minded gamers. LAN parties vary in size from 3 friends up to 1000's of players. Fatboylan runs regular LAN parties in the South of the UK. We are comprised of a group of people who got frustrated with the poor latency and lag of the internet and who enjoy bringing car loads of kit together and creating our own network over which to game (mad fools that we are! ;) ) Our events are widely known throughout the LAN party community, and we run LAN's that vary in size from small 10 player affairs up to much bigger and hardcore 50 player events. Anyone is welcome to attend an FBL event and new blood is readily accepted and we try hard to make everyone feel at home. If you don't fancy bringing your PC along the first time, why not attend as a spectator and meet everyone? It only costs £5 for the entire event. LAN Partying is as much about the social aspect as it is about the gaming. If you think yourself a bit of a tech-head and enjoy working with computers; you should definately give us a try. Attending a LAN for the first time can be a very strange affair, but you soon get used to the way it works and will definately want to come back for more! We are lucky enough to enjoy the backing of Multiplay UK who run the biggest LAN events in the UK. If you think you are ready for the real hardcore experience, give them a try!
